Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season them with salt and pepper. Place them in a baking dish, skin side up.
  3. Make the Honey Glaze:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, dried thyme, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Coat the Chicken:

    • Pour half of the honey glaze over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Use a brush or spoon to spread the glaze evenly.
  5. Bake in the Oven:

    • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  6. Baste with Glaze:

    • After the first 15 minutes of baking, baste the chicken with the remaining honey glaze. Continue baking until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden and crispy.
  7. Broil for Crispy Skin (Optional):

    • If you desire extra crispy skin, you can broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  8. Garnish and Serve:

    • Remove the honey-baked chicken from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve Warm:

    • Plate the honey-baked chicken and serve it warm. You can pair it with your favorite side dishes like roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy this honey-baked chicken with its sweet and savory glaze that's sure to make it a family favorite!
